Hello there friend and welcome to Nutrition with Supplements’ health awareness and fitness nutrition blog! This is simply an article covering the top helpful accessories for health/fitness training in 2018 that I’ve found to be the most helpful and so do a lot of others!
1) Gym Bag
You can’t go wrong with having a gym bag for vital organization! I can’t tell you how many times I used to forget something I really needed or wanted during the gym session that I was going through but after a long time of trial and error and finally getting my own gym bag. I can now say that I never forget a thing that I need because everything I need I keep in my gym bag! Of course you have to do laundry, but you can still keep everything within one object so that you are always ready for your gym session and workout!
Oh man can I tell you how many times I expected to get a towel, but sometimes some places are so busy that you are expected to bring your own, and since I used to train with buddies all the time. I would forget my towel often and so I’d borrow a buddies even though it may seem gross to some it was my only option at the time because of my own negligence to bring my own towel! I simply make sure I have at least 2-3 towels in my bag at all times because you never know when they may come in handy!
3) Training shorts/pants
Depending on the season and/or your own personal preference you will want some shorts/pants dedicated to training because if you don’t you will simply just think they are only shorts/pants. Which in turn means it’s only a workout so why bother? If you invest in some training shorts/pants you will then take more pride in them and use them for their purpose. I remember when I would not bother to buy new shorts/pants for just training because I already had some, but then laundry time comes and it’s insane how often you have to do it and if you’re busy it isn’t ideal!
4) Training shirts/tops
You will want some shirts/tops dedicated to training because if you don’t you will simply just think they are only shirts/tops. Which in turn means it’s only a workout so why bother? If you invest in some training shirts/tops you will then take more pride in them and use them for their purpose. I remember when I would not bother to buy new shirts/tops for just training because I already had some, but then laundry time comes and it’s insane how often you have to do it and if you’re busy it isn’t ideal!
5) Training shoes
Depending on your typical shoe choice to wear you will need your own pair of training shoes for many different reasons and variables. I personally wear boots, a lot, but you can’t boots aren’t typically great to wear when fitness training! So I had to buckle down and get my own pair of training shoes as well! Always choose for comfortability and lightweight when it comes to training! You don’t want anything that will throw off your joints after all you’re already going through enough stress if you’re training!
6) Training gloves/wrist wraps
A lot of controversy of gloves and wrist wraps when it comes to training, but mainly the simple controversy is created by EGO not TRUTH. A lot say you shouldn’t need gloves to train, but on the contrary gloves help with grip strength and gloves help with training overall! You also don’t beat up and tear up your hands as much with gloves, although if you train heavy, even with gloves your hands will get torn up, because your skin is still under the fabric and steel is not soft material but our skin is very fragile; so it is vital and best we take care of our body as much as we can!
7) Fitness Tracker
If you are looking for an accessory to track your heart rate at all times, sleep tracking, and even step tracking with some with more options! Fitness trackers are great for keeping track of your fitness activity levels so that you know that you are training hard enough or if you need to lower the intensity of your workout so that your heart rate stabilizes!
8) Jump Rope
The infamous jump rope is one of my all time favorite cardiovascular training accessories ever made to be honest! This accessory is so versatile and can be used almost anywhere! This means you can get a great cardio session done without going much distance at all and burning fat with ease if you just stuck through!
9) Bluetooth Headphones
I am a huge fan of bluetooth headphones simply because you have more mobility and freedom with your music and it helps me focus and I’m sure it helps others focus as well while drowning all the excess noise in the background! Any bluetooth headphone will suffice as an accessory as long as it plays viable quality music; although I prefer bluetooth headphones that also have bass implemented! People say they’re bad for you, but I personally like them and I have great hearing so oh well!
10) Hand Grip Strengthener/Exerciser
A simple and really cheap fitness accessory that can help improve your overall strength and fitness achievements if implemented correctly into your training programs! Afterall the more grip strength you achieve than the more weight you should be able to handle with less stress and strain! This is a great accessory to acquire gains without even knowing you are going to acquire them!
11) Fitness Training Mat
I remember when I first started working out I almost completely stopped because when I was overweight and tried bodyweight exercises the ground or floor just ached and did weird things with my lower back and it was never comfortable! After those experiences I invested in a yoga mat or as I like to call a fitness training mat and after I started using one; I was then able to do more bodyweight exercises without the pain and uncomfortability! To this day I prefer using a fitness training mat for bodyweight exercises all the time! It’s become more of a necessity than a want for me!
12) Notebook/Training Diary
Alright this may sound weird, but how else will you keep track with what it is you want to achieve with your health and fitness goals? You will not remember everything. In fact, you probably forget many things, every single day! Don’t let yourself down and simply just get you a pad and a pen or pencil or something to write with. Keep track of your training and even your daily food intake! See what it is you are lacking or needing and tweak it. The more information you know and attain than the more you will succeed and the more you will acquire!
Now again, these are simply just the top helpful accessories for health/fitness training in 2018 that I have personally found to be the most helpful in my health awareness and fitness training experiences!
